Nick and Sam: Making Strides

I've talked to my students and posted Facebook notes on Colby College alumni Nick and Sam's Making Strides trek from Maine to California.

I became aware of their story when a colleague at Colby posted a link to an interview with Nick and Sam. (I worked at Colby College earlier in my career.)

Here's how they descrbe their journey:

Nick and Sam are embarking on a walk from the coast of Maine to the coast of California, The formed 'Making Strides' they start their journey on the New England coast at Short Sands Beach in York ME on August 6.2011 to travel approximately 8 million steps to the coast of California.
